Keystone take 2 🎬: the version where Molly 🐶 doesn’t go to doggy ICU and we ski the @keystone_resort bowls with friends and family instead! Camino de Santiago 🥾: The Final Challenge 💪🏼 What better way to end the Camino adventure than with an Aussie 🇦🇺 vs. American 🇺🇸headstand competition. Camino de Santiago 🥾 Day 5: O Pedrouza ➡️ Santiago de Compostela ⛪️ 🥾 We made it! Our final day was rewarded with a magnificent sunrise. ⛪️ There are no words to describe the Camino experience. The people you meet along the way never seem random. From the 17-year-old Irish student to the 73-year-old Indian dentist, you are either giving or receiving wisdom with each encounter. Although not all who walk the Camino are Believers, there is no doubt that God is with each person along this journey. ⛪️ Our “Last Supper” consisted of Mary, Jesus, Peter, and Matt(hew). Santiago de Compostela 🥾 Day 4: Arzua ➡️ O Pedrouza. 🥾 I remember when I thought 13 miles was a long hike. Oh right, that was just last week. Camino de Santiago 🥾 Day 2: Portomarin ➡️ Palas de Rei. Today’s Camino bonus was meeting fellow memoir writer, Liza Grantham, who lives in Galicia, Spain. So today the adventure really began. We started our pilgrimage walk from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela. If you aren’t familiar with the history or significance of this walk that has been around since the Middle Ages, watch the movie The Way or the documentary I’ll Push You. 🥾⛪️ Also known as The Way of St. James, thousand of pilgrims make this walk every year for religious or cultural reasons. We are doing the shortest section of the Camino that qualifies for the Compostela. We are walking the last 72 miles carrying everything we need on our backs. It is exhausting, painful, and exhilarating. We’ve only completed our first section, and I’m so humbled by the pilgrims who finish the entire Camino each year. Leigh Ann Fuller, I’m looking at you!
